Fishing and Fun...

Sunday, May 30th.....was an awesome day!   Andy, Sharayah, John, Derek, Emily, Ieshia, and I went fishing.   We love spending time at Andy's Grandmas' pond!   We really enjoy being outside and my kids love to look at all the beautiful things that are found in the country.  Today we seen dragonfly's, a river otter, turtles, and of course...fish!

We also did a lot of other fun things...like ride Andy's 3-wheeler, and shoot Derek's sling-shot....

Ieshia was learning to drive the 3-wheeler for the first time....she was doing really good until she met the front of her Dad's truck....

We all had a good laugh at that...even Ieshia!!   Sharayah was a good trooper...9 days over due and still hanging in there....she even rode really slow on the 3-wheeler....and then it was right back to where her dog Mufasa was....

Ieshia and Derek did a great job baiting their own hooks....

We all snacked on sandwiches, chips, macaroni salad, lemonade, tea, soda,and water.....

Later on after we went home....we all sat outside and listened to music and ate LaRomas....

We had an awesome day!!!

A Day Outside...

Today was a bright warm summer day.  Our family spent a lot of time outside....Ieshia, Emily and I hoed and pulled weeds in the garden....

John trimmed the trees and Derek took the branches to the burn pile...

Later on, John played with Tootie and Walter, and also brushed them while Emily and Derek played on the swings..

The kids also played in the sprinkler....

We all had a pretty good day...

Summer...

I Love the bright sunshine and the warmth on a summer day...

I love to drink lemonade, and hear the laughter while my kids play...

I love the freedom to stay up past dark and watch my kids catch fireflies..

I love watching the clothes blowing in the wind while it dries....

I love my beautiful flowers when they are all blooming bright....

I love sitting outside late at night under the moonlight..

I love early mornings when the sun pops up and the birds sing....

I love summer and all the memories it brings.....

Best Party ever.......

Wow..I don't even know where to start!  I was sitting at home talking to Donna and I was trying to figure out what to do for Mom's birthday.   I wanted to do something different but just couldn't put my finger on what.  Donna piped up and said we should have a 50's party, like a sock hop!  I loved the idea, it was exactly what I wanted to do.  So we went outside and ran it by Jim and John and they loved the idea.  Jim actually suggested that we have it in his huge garage.  Next, we called Sheri and Brian and asked them to come over so we run it by them.  We text Teri, and gave her an idea on what we wanted to do.   The ideas just kept coming,  food, DJ, decorations.....we were all so excited!  Donna and I stayed up to midnight making up flyers.  The next morning, we went shopping!  Cleaning and re-arranging the garage was a big task...John cleaned the floors....

We finally got everything done....We had a night where everyone came over and made posters, we passed out flyers, went shopping, got groceries, and decorated.  Our menu was maid-rites, chips, cherry and vanilla cokes, root beer floats, and cake and ice cream.  I made Mom a pink poodle skirt cake.....

Marty Smith and his wife, Rita, were hired to DJ the party.  We also had karaoke!  It was a total blast!   Jim started the karaoke by singing "67 Candles", Doyle Riney sang " A white sport coat and a pink carnation", Teri sang a hilarious song she wrote, and it just kept going on and on.   Teri sang "The Rose" and Jim joined her for some awesome harmony,  Teri, Jim and I sang "The Brady Bunch".....but the hit of the night was when Mom, Teri and I sang Elvira!  Jim came and joined us and it was great!  There were many other songs sung by Julie Hunt, Sharon Cummins, Alliyah, Libby, Ieshia, Marty,Crystal, and myself.  I think it was the best, most awesome party ever!!  Mom was completely surprised  and will remember it always!!  Here are the pics of the party.....ENJOY!
