Well we had a great last couple of days.....we took the kids to dairy queen for a little treat... We brought a treat home for Mom too!

John had to work on his Mom's van and fix the brakes.... He also went to my Mom's and trimmed her trees! Derek helped too!

During the trimming, John cut down a small volunteer mulbery bush and the tree next to it and then noticed a small dove nest with the mother sitting on her nest......

.since the nest was on the ground and the mama bird flew away...Mom placed the nest in a nearby tree hoping the mother bird will find it....so

hopefully they will be ok! Later on last night, we went to Sharayah and Andy's 1st Anniversary party out by the lake at Andy's family's property...It was beautiful....we sat by a bonfire overlooking the lake and had a good time...

14 th Anniversary...

Today was John and I's 14th Anniversary.....we spent most of the day together and then tonight we went to Applebees for supper and I got a beautiful ring. It is a heart shaped ruby ring with little diamonds on either side.....The pictures don't do it justice. It's very pretty.....Also, today i got my very first fishing license!! I was so excited! John and I got new poles and so did Derek and Emily...

I thought I would put The kid's spring pictures on this blog also....John has been working hard on his truck with the help of Derek and Keith......I don't know if you remember it or not but it used to be red .....here is a picture of the box that has been recently painted a real nice green....

I don't know where to start!? We've had a lot of activity lately.....the kids have enjoyed getting in the sprinkler, dancing outside, playing basketball,

John, Keith, and Derek worked on wet sanding the truck getting it ready for paint... John and Derek took the dogs for walks, and brushed the dogs..... Me and sheri have been working in the kitchen......I made a delicious peach pineapple drink...recipe is .................1 32 oz can of pinapple juice

1 12 oz can of peach nectar

1 can chunk pineapple with juice

2 sliced fresh peaches....

1 2liter bottle of 7-up

Put first 4 ingredients in a 4 quart pitcher and fill to the top with 7-up....serve over ice!

It is delish!!!

We also took Derek and Emily fishing for the first time! We all had a blast! John caught 4 bass and a turtle. Andy also caught a fish. Everyone else just got ticks and sunburns but it was fun!

I think John had just as much fun as the kids!!
