January 15...
Well it's been a week since a posted anything. I have been so busy I just haven't took the time to do a whole lot on the computer. Our week started when Teri went home. We had a nice visit and I really appreciated the help she gave Mom. I especially loved the beautiful gifts she brought. My lovely pink rose was the most beautiful rose I've ever seen...
.I took both of Moms beautiful bouquets and made one beautiful arrangement...
Mom really loved the flowers! Well, of course we have been eating like Kings and Queens....Everything from Steak, hamburgers, brownies, fish, and everything in between including spaghetti...
.
We even had cherry cheesecake.......YUM-O
Iwent out in the garage the other night and John and Brian were busy working on various cars and trucks......
.
but I got such a kick out of Derek....this is his workbench and toolboxes and here he is laying on his creeper under his wagon which is up on jack stands and of course he is fixing something on it! I think this picture is so cute...
.Mom has been enjoying her foot rubs..
The kitties have been enjoying there afternoon naps...
.don't they look cute and cozy???? Derek and Emily have been practicing reading....
Emily made a very nice book for her Grandma....she wrote and illustrated it all by herself...
Then everyone has been working on puzzles....my kids are really good and putting them together....Mom even sits and does them from time to time...the kids like me to take pictures of them so here are the ones we have done this week.....

well, that is all for tonight I will try to post again soon.....

Thursday January 8th
We have had a wonderful day. Mom and Teri and I spent the day together just relaxing and visiting. Teri fixed Moms hair today while she relaxed in her comfy chair.......

Isn't she pretty?
Then Teri bought us all nachos from Quinns Corner and we sat and ate them and watched a juicy movie on lifetime about missing babies, narrated of course by none other than John Boy Walton..(Rickard Thomas).......
.haha......Aunt Connie called earlier and offered to bring over supper for everyone...Wow were we excited! Around 5:oopm Uncle Danny came a knockin' on the door and delivered a wonderful supper of homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, mini crescent rolls, and a wonderful pineapple cake for desert! There was tons of food and it was delicious!!

Everyone had a full belly when they left the table......I walked in the room and seen Mom sitting in her chair still looking pretty, she's holding the teddy bear that Teri bought her.
Mom enjoyed listening to Teri play the piano....We had a very nice relaxing day....
As Mom said"We all ate like thrashers"...LoL

What a wonderful surprise today! Teri came to visit and spend time with Mom
.She came in bringing gifts! She brought Mom the most beautiful yellow roses! They are Moms favorite...
She also brought Mom the cutest little teddy Bear! And for me.....She brought me a beautiful pink rose and a candle holder kind of sconce....I really love it!
Thanks so much Teri! Mocha and Brady are now the best of friends.....They were spending their afternoon nap together..
.
While the animals napped, Teri so graciously offered to make supper for our whole family! She made a chicken casserole, vegetable casserole, and cherry dumpcake for desert! It was delicious!

MMMmmmmmm....yummy dumpcake......Supper was delicious! Mom is feeling a little bit better today...It will be a long recovery but everyday is a little bit better......Especially with family that cares.....

Sunday
All is quiet on the homefront right now. Everyone is in bed and Mom just dozed off. It is unbelievable just how much there is to do in this house on a daily basis! Between laundry, cleaning, cooking, running errands and keeping every one happy, I hardly ever have a minute to rest! Oh and did I forget to mention the two dogs and two cats??? Well, here is smokey...
.And here is Brady....................................
.And of course my sweet doggy, Mocha.......................
The other dog, Tootie is usually outside. I know the animals look all cute and sweet but they sometimes keep me hopping.Mom was hungry for chocolate cake and chocolate frosting so I bought one at the store and Emily helped me make it today...........

Mom was relaxing (as much as possible) in the comfy chair.......This was her first time using the mixer, under Mommy's supervision of course!
It was very good! Later I was walking in my room and realized I never took a picture of my new couch. So I caught one with John relaxing and using the laptop. Look at the knees of his jeans!! You can tell he worked hard today...................................... Isn't she beautiful????

Well Here it is January 3, 2009! What a year it has been already! Busy, Busy, Busy! Mom is doing well since she fell. She is staying at my house now. It's nice to have her here but I wish the circumstances were different. The kids are enjoying here being here all the time too. They have 3 more days left and them they are going to start back at school. Emily has been practicing her reading. She has really improved! Today when she was reading, our little kitten Brady decided he wanted to hear the story too!
Derek and I have been doing puzzles. He is so good at putting them together. Ieshia and Emily have been practicing their singing! They sang all night tonight! Hopefully I will have a few more pics to post soon. I have been so consumed with helping Mom and doing all the other everyday things that i haven't really had time to take any pictures!!
