Busy as Usual.......

Seems like the last few days I have been meeting myself coming and going! I've had a lot of errands to run and the weekly shopping and bills to pay. We've been working outside in the yard getting it ready for winter. Today John mowed Moms yard and trimmed really good. I mowed our yard and John cleaned out the gutters and trimmed. Then we took down the pool and put it away for the winter. What a big job!!! Tomorrow hopefully John is going to help me plant a few flower bulbs, and I have to trim my rose bush. It was a little cooler today and we had to wear jackets. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer. Below L-R is my daughter Crystal, my Mom, and My mother in law Debbie. We've been having fun playing with our new kitten. He is such a good kitty!! He likes to Meow alot. He just sits there and meows..it's the cutest thing!

The New Kitten.....

Well, if you have been following my blog then you all know we lost our cat, Cinnamon, on Sunday. Every night since then the kids get real sentimental at bedtime and have a hard time going to sleep because they miss the cat. So I found a kitten and we went and picked it up yesterday! He is the cutest thing you ever saw! He is 12 weeks old and all gray. He is doing very well! We all love him very much. Of course we still miss our Cinnamon very much but the new kitty "smokey" will make it all a little easier.

Pumpkin Patch

After our walk at Lake Story, we came home and rested for a few hours while John had to work on a car. Then we all loaded back up and went to the pumpkin patch. We were all so excited to go, especially Emily and Sharayah!..lol We got a truck load of them. I friend of ours who lives in Knoxville, Il......has a pumpkin patch and let us get what ever we wanted..(Thanks Gary!)

Here's one of my pumpkins..................

I think Sharayah is going to need some help getting hers to the truck!

Ieshia posing with her perfect pumpkin!!

Mom found a smaller one.........easier to lift................

Emily is sitting on hers so no one else can get it!

WOW! Look at the variety of pumpkins we got!

Derek is trying so hard to lift his big pumpkin!!!

John picked out the biggest pumpkin that he could find!!!

We really had an exciting day!

However.....on a sadder note....later on when we came home, our cat cinnamon was acting funny. We were all giving him a little extra attention and John was holding him. Within just a few minutes he quit breathing. We are going to miss cinnamon. He was a great cat!!

We Love You Cinnamon!!!!!!!

Lake Story

Today we had a great day at Lake Story. The weather was great! We invited family and friends to go with us an have a picnic and bring the dogs for a trail walk. Mocha and Tootie(our dogs) were there and also Sharayahs lab Mufasa and Brians golden retriever, Dallas. All those who came were: John, Me, Ieshia, Derek, Emily, Crystal, Mom, Sharayah, Andy, Brian, and April. So we had a pretty good group. After we got there we let the kids play for a while and then we had a nice picnic.

After we ate we decided to take the dogs for a trail walk. We took them down by the water and let them swim. Tootie, our St. Bernard wasn't to thrilled with the water. She only wanted to get her feet wet. But the other 3 dogs had fun playing fetch in the water and just playing around

Knox County Scenic Drive

Today we got up really early and went to the Knox County Scenic Drive. We started out in London Mills and had breakfast. Then started looking around at all the crafts and flea market finds. There were a lot of fall/autumn things as well as plenty of Winter Decor such as snowmen and santa claus. After a few hours in London Mills we went on to Knoxville. While we were there we had lunch. There were several food stands. Then the kids did free face painting, pony rides, petting zoos, and of course more craft vendors. We found a few things there, but the prettiest things were the mums that Mom bought for her front porch! Then we went back towards Maguon and stopped at a roadside display that had over 100 vendors and refreshments. By then we had been out for 8 hours so we decided to go on home. We had a great time!! The weather was really nice at 85 sunny and a little breezy! We can't wait until next year!

Emily, Sharayah, Derek, Mom, Crystal and Ieshia are looking for bargains.

Derek and Emily liked the bird houses

They all enjoyed the free face painting.

Emily enjoyed the pony rides! She loves horses!

The kids enjoyed the petting zoo!

Me and Derek just finished with our lunch.

Sharayah and Ieshia eating lunch Later on that day John took me out for supper at Perkins! It was fun to have a date night for just the two of us. Mom watched the kids and took them to the Fire Station for the fried chicken dinner.

The kids loved playing on the fire trucks and taking pictures with them. After they got done eating, Mom took them around to look at Halloween decorations and then brought them home and had a movie night. They popped popcorn and watched Grizzly Falls. Needless to say, We all had a very busy but fun day!
