November 1st is a big day in the Keller house....My mother in law, Debbie, celebrated her 66th birthday and my daughter, Ieshia, celebrated her 14th birthday!!

We had nachos for supper and had family over for ice cream and cake....I made Debbie a homemade pumpkin cake with homemade cream cheese frosting......

I made Ieshia her favorite cake....vanilla funfetti cake with vanilla funfetti frosting...

Here are a few more pics of the party...

I hope they both had a great birthday and I can't wait to spend it wit them next year!!

Trick or Treat......

John and I took Derek and Emily trick or treating on Halloween night.  We went for about an hour.  Here are some pictures...They went to Mom's house...

They went to Crystal's house.....
Then they went to Sharayah's house....
And also to Aunt Sheri's house.....

They had a good time.....
When we were driving around, I was talking to John and realized that I had been going out trick or treating with the kids for 20 years!!  Every Halloween I buy costumes and dress up the little ones and walk around getting candy!  We usually take them out until they are in middle school!!!  So a few more years and I'm off the hook!!!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!!

Fall Fun....

On Tuesday,October 27 th, John and I went with Mom to take Aunt Clara to the Cracker Barrel for her birthday!    We had great food, a good visit, and also enjoy browsing the store.  But what I enjoyed the most was the beautiful fall scenery!  The trees were very vibrant with color!!

Friday, Oct. 30.....I went to Derek and Emilys' school to watch all the kids parade around in their costumes!
As you can see, Derek was an old west Sheriff and Emily was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.....All the kids were very cute.  John and I enjoyed watching the parade!  Sheri went with us also and had a good time and lots of laughs!   Later on, we carved the pumpkins.....John helped carve Dereks.....
I helped Emily carve hers.......
Ieshia carved her own this year...
And Debbie carved one for herself and Willie...
Here is Ieshia with her pumpkin...

Earlier this week, I tried out a new recipe called
Apple Raisin Nut Betty........Mom loved it....here is the recipe......
2 cans apple pie filling
1 teas. cinnamon
4 pkgs of Oatmeal raisin nut (instant)
One stick of Butter

Spray your pan with non-stick spray
Put one can of pie filling in pan
Sprinkle on two pkgs of instant oatmeal
Sprinkle on 1/2 teas. of cinnamon
Repeat again to add another layer then
cut one stick of butter into several pats and put on top.

It will look like this.....
Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes or until top is bubbly and browning.........remover from oven and it will look something like this....
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream....Yum-OOOOO
