Happy Halloween!

I absolutely love this time of year!   Trick-or-Treating was last night here in Abingdon.  The kids were so cute all dressed up in their costumes!

After we were done Trick-or-Treating, we had a family wiener roast for Ieshia's Birthday!   We had hot dogs, chips, and instead of soup...Ieshia wanted a big pot of green beans, potatoes, bacon and ham....They were delicious and definitely a hit!  I also made the best hot chocolate, it was creamy and very tasty!  I couldn't believe it when the whole crock pot was empty.  So I made more hot chocolate and it was also gone in an instant!

Lauren and Katie came in the cutest costumes.  Katie was a chicken and Lauren was an egg!
After we ate, we had cake and ice cream for Ieshia's Birthday.  She wanted a guitar cake....I did my best!  the cake is white with vanilla frosting, so I also made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting.

We all had a good time.   I just can't wait until Nov. 1st when I can give Ieshia her birthday presents!  She's going to be so excited! Here are a few more pics from Halloween.

Fall is here!

Here it is October!  The weather has changed and is a lot cooler, days are getting shorter, there is a chill in the air.   Outside I smell leaves burning, bonfires, the sweet smell of apples in the air!  In the stores we see Halloween decorations, candy, costumes, Indian corn, apple cider and popcorn balls.   It is my favorite time of year!!

Recently, on a beautiful fall day .....I took several pics of my Mom and my kids.....and Ieshia took a few of me...here are a few of them that we took that day...

My flowers are so vibrant this year!   They are gorgeous!!  I made a few arrangements for Mom, Sheri, Teri, friends and myself....
Here are a few fall pics from around my house....

On October 16, we celebrated Sheri's birthday (10/17/62) with a wienie roast at her house....It was a very nice little gathering of family.  Yummy chili, hot dogs and ice cream and the birthday cake I made for her..
Happy Birthday Sheri, I hope you had a great time!
On Sunday the 17th.....we went to Baby Kate's super cool birthday party at Country Corners.  Kate turned 1 on October 12th.   Happy Birthday to Baby Kate!
