Beautiful Weekend....

Well, another great weekend here at my house......John and the rest of us pulled all the wet insulation out of the basement....it was a nasty job........but we got it all done..

Derek is really handy with the drill......Mom and I went uptown to the taste of Abingdon....we enjoy good food and seeing some of our family......there was also an antique tractor show.....

Here is a picture of some of my relatives....from L to R Moms cousins Lois and Sue and Aunt Clara and Mom....
We were outside the other day and Sharayah came over for awhile so a snapped a pic of her and also our doves that are here year after year.....
John took a break to relax for a few minutes. For supper tonight, I made grilled shrimp, hamburgers, hot dogs, and a wonderful new recipe for broccoli casserole....it was delicious!
Mom and Ieshia made delicious brownies.....
Sheri helped sweep the driveway and helped with supper.... We got the yard mowed today and John trimmed with the weed eater until it ran out of string and he had to restring it.......He also had to fish the basketball out of the dumpster...Then he took Walter for a walk and gave Tootie a good brushing......

Later on Mom, Sheri and I went for another brisk walk in the cool evening air.....It was very nice!

Friday....

Another busy Friday.....Today was the last full day of school for my kids....they go back just to pick up their report cards on Tuesday.....Derek and Emily got a small plant for each of their teachers for having such a great year.......
Derek and Emily both got awards for outstanding spelling....Emily got a citizenship award and also a $10 gift certificate to Quinns corner for perfect attendance....Way to go kids!!!!
I cooked out on the grill tonight...we had hotdogs, hamburgers, ranch and bacon suddenly salad, and grilled salad...it was so good!!

Grilled Salad
For the grilled salad I took romaine lettuce and cut it in half lengthways
lay them out flat side up
Then I drizzled light Italian dressing on it and homemade garlic butter sauce
Next I put it on the grill seasoning side down and let it wilt for a few minutes
Finally I topped it with grilled veggies and salt and pepper! It was a delicious
twist to a typical salad! YUM-O
The ice cream man came by today and everyone enjoyed a cold treat Mom, Sheri, and I went for a nice walk.(2.4 miles to be exact) John worked on a 4-wheeler Emily took a few pics outside....here's one of Derek playing in the outhouse...and a few of the cats.... Unfortunately later in the evening, My cat Smokey, ran out in the road and was hit by a car.....He was the best cat in the whole world and I'm really going to miss him!!!
