Home Alone

It's not very often that I find myself alone in the house with my thoughts

With Valentines Day fast approaching I find myself giddy thinking about love,

Remembering falling in love, the excitement of the first date, the butterflies in my stomach when the first kiss unfolds..... Finding a lasting love, a secure love, there is nothing like it in the world.

I remember the nervousness I used to feel wondering if I was wearing the right thing, doubting the way I did my hair, not wanting to eat and of course the all too familiar diet that seems to be popular with a new love.

Even many years after my marriage I still experience the flutters when I see my Johnny walking to me.....anxious for the hug he gives me when he comes home from work...knowing that after almost 14 years that he still loves me and I him.

Although there are obstacles to work through I think the love between us just gets stronger with every issue we face and conquer. I am his, and thats what brings an enormous smile on my face but knowing that he is mine tops every emotion I've ever felt.

Happy Valentines day to all............

May You all experience the joy and happiness that comes with finding your true love, not the love you know or think you have....but the sincere security of love that you grow into with your mate years down the road.......

Well it's been a week since a posted anything. I have been so busy I just haven't took the time to do a whole lot on the computer. Our week started when Teri went home. We had a nice visit and I really appreciated the help she gave Mom. I especially loved the beautiful gifts she brought. My lovely pink rose was the most beautiful rose I've ever seen....I took both of Moms beautiful bouquets and made one beautiful arrangement...Mom really loved the flowers! Well, of course we have been eating like Kings and Queens....Everything from Steak, hamburgers, brownies, fish, and everything in between including spaghetti.... We even had cherry cheesecake.......YUM-O
Iwent out in the garage the other night and John and Brian were busy working on various cars and trucks.......
but I got such a kick out of Derek....this is his workbench and toolboxes and here he is laying on his creeper under his wagon which is up on jack stands and of course he is fixing something on it! I think this picture is so cute....Mom has been enjoying her foot rubs..The kitties have been enjoying there afternoon naps....don't they look cute and cozy???? Derek and Emily have been practicing reading....
Emily made a very nice book for her Grandma....she wrote and illustrated it all by herself...
Then everyone has been working on puzzles....my kids are really good and putting them together....Mom even sits and does them from time to time...the kids like me to take pictures of them so here are the ones we have done this week.....

Thursday January 8th

We have had a wonderful day. Mom and Teri and I spent the day together just relaxing and visiting. Teri fixed Moms hair today while she relaxed in her comfy chair.......
Isn't she pretty? Then Teri bought us all nachos from Quinns Corner and we sat and ate them and watched a juicy movie on lifetime about missing babies, narrated of course by none other than John Boy Walton..(Rickard Thomas)........haha......
Aunt Connie called earlier and offered to bring over supper for everyone...Wow were we excited! Around 5:oopm Uncle Danny came a knockin' on the door and delivered a wonderful supper of homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, mini crescent rolls, and a wonderful pineapple cake for desert! There was tons of food and it was delicious!!

As Mom said"We all ate like thrashers"...LoL

Everyone had a full belly when they left the table......I walked in the room and seen Mom sitting in her chair still looking pretty, she's holding the teddy bear that Teri bought her.Mom enjoyed listening to Teri play the piano....We had a very nice relaxing day....
